OUR STORY
Anchor Custom Flooring, LLC was established with a passion for this industry and a desire to create a company that was unique to this trade. The name honors the rock of our family and Papa, the late James R. Suther, who served in the U.S. Navy and passed in 2013 of cancer. He taught us to give 110% and do things right the first time, instilling in us a solid work ethic that we have always carried with us in our individual endeavors. When considering the company's name, there was no question about what to call it.

OUR CAPTAINS
HEATHER SIMON
Captain + Director of Operations
Born and raised in Greenville, Heather grew up in construction, working with her dad on weekends and summer breaks through various projects like two custom home builds and several remodels. In addition, she helped her dad develop and grow his HVAC business, which he still owns today.
After attending Furman University, she launched quickly into her marketing career. By 2002, she started a marketing consulting boutique, and in 2009, she joined FUEL as the Director of Sales and Marketing, serving brands throughout the Southeast. After that, she combined her passion for marketing and extended knowledge of the construction industry to work with top brands like Harper Construction, Clayton Construction, Southern Living Network, Dillard-Jones Builders, Gabriel Builders, and Haven Valley. The decision to team up with her brother and launch Anchor Custom Flooring was the definition of organic; as if it was always meant to be.
DUSTIN COLE
Chief Officer + Director of Construction
Dustin, also a Greenville native, started in the flooring industry at 15 years old, and even at an early age, his leadership skills were quickly recognized. By 18, he became the Crew Leader for the flooring installs for leading brands like BI-LO, Blooms, Food-Lion, Wendy’s, and Bojangles. He focused on quality, efficiency, and overall crew management to keep things running smoothly.
Dustin transitioned into residential construction and found his passion in the artistry behind tile work. As the tile industry has evolved into the vast selection options available today, he excels at the variety of intricacies a project can have. For the past 20 years, he has honed his skill set to provide quality installations for hardwoods, LVP, tile flooring, bathrooms, showers, kitchens, and backsplashes.
